Paul Seaman

Paul Seaman is a seasoned intellectual property executive with 25 years of experience in intellectual property creation, management, licensing program development and strategy, and licensing.  Over his career as a Licensing Executive, Paul has successfully negotiated and closed deals with U.S., European, Asian and Middle Eastern companies in excess of US$1B. Paul is recognized as one of the world's leading IP strategists (IAM Strategy 300, 2017-2020).

 

Paul was a founding member of IPValue Management, Inc. (a Silicon Valley-based IP consultancy) where he was a member of the executive team with responsibilities that included patent licensing, patent sales, and business development.

 

Prior to founding IPValue, Paul was at Agere Systems where he managed numerous patent agreements and settlements with US and European entities.   Previous to Agere, Paul was at AT&T Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies for 15 years where he negotiated patent and technology agreements. Paul also established Lucent's Intellectual Property offices in the Netherlands and France. Prior to his specialization in intellectual property, Paul managed research and development projects related to integrated circuits and photonics systems for undersea applications.

 

Paul earned his undergraduate degree from Saint Vincent College, conducted graduate work in Applied Mathematics, and holds an MBA from Columbia University.
