Patent Attorney
The Role:
• Conduct document reviews and other research to understand technologies and their relevance to our patent portfolio
• Work with technology experts to analyse reverse engineering results and develop claim charts mapping patent claims to these results;
• Assist in the prosecution of patent portfolios
• Participate in the legal review of patents and evidence of use analysis
• Support company management in patent licensing efforts including litigation support where necessary
The Ideal Candidate has:
• A bachelors, masters or postdoctoral degree in engineering, electronics, computer science, physics or a related discipline
• Full qualification as a European Patent Attorney
• Qualification as a Patent Attorney in one or more EPC states
• A rigorous attention to detail with a strong self-starting work ethic
• Excellent communication skills and technical presentation skills
• A capability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity evaluating and creating evidence of use charts
• Ability to work in a complex legal and technical environment and devise and implement global strategies
• Experience instructing and liaising with outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions
