As Patent Counsel for Key Patent Innovations, Anthony supports all aspects of the company’s licensing and monetization efforts. Prior to joining Key Patent Innovations, Anthony worked in private practice, in Ireland and the UK, representing large technology and medical device clients. He is known for obtaining protection for technology that is challenging to patent and saving applications that run into trouble. Unsurprisingly, his experience includes a lot of European opposition and appeal proceedings.
Anthony is a registered UK and European Patent Attorney, has a certificate in Intellectual Property Litigation (UK), and is a certified European Patent Litigator (UPC). He is also a member of the Institute of Physics.
Before working in patent law, Anthony was a researcher. After completing his PhD in atomic physics in Belfast and Tokyo, he worked for the Institute of Cancer Research and Oxford University. His research projects spanned many fields from fundamental measurements of extreme forms of matter to computational optimization of radiotherapy.
